Study Trip to RIGA February 17th - 21st, 2016
We are excited to announce the first study trip of 2016 organized by SCOPE Maastricht! GET READY to discover a different part of Europe!
Riga, Latvia’s capital city, is a vibrant place famous for its architectural and cultural values but also for its important economic center. The old town features impressive art nouveau architecture and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also a popular entertainment district with a high concentration of pubs, cafe's and bars which contribute to the exuberant atmosphere. On top of this, Riga a major industrial hub generating more than half of Latvia’s economic growth. The Baltic region is expanding rapidly, in which Riga is an important host for startups in vast economic sectors.
We are in the process of creating and unforgettable trip with a four-day program including:
- Round-trip flight
- 4 nights of accommodation in the heart of Riga incl. breakfast
- Company visits: Grant Thornton, TechHub Riga (the rest is to be announced)
- Several group dinners
- Social and cultural activities (e.g. nights out, city game)

We depart to Riga on Wednesday afternoon the 17th of February 2016 and arrive back in Maastricht on Sunday evening the 21st of February 2016. The trip takes place in the second week of period 4.
