My name is Bente Peusen and I am the Marketing Commissioner of SCOPE for the academic year 2020-2021.
I am 20 years old and I was born and raised in The Netherlands. Currently, I am wrapping up my third year of the Bachelor of International Business. This program has taught me a lot of valuable skills to tackle my current board position in SCOPE and it has given me the amazing opportunity of going on exchange to Oslo. The experience of going on exchange made me realize that I wanted to be part of something bigger in Maastricht. I want to contribute to the city, the university and this association in the same positive way they have contributed to me throughout the past three years. Furthermore, I am excited to get to know the many different stakeholders of SCOPE and to be involved in giving them the best possible experience with our association.
As the Marketing Commissioner, it is my job to continuously improve SCOPE’s image and to stay connected to our stakeholders. Furthermore, it is my goal to keep expanding SCOPE’s reach in order to better monitor and cater to the needs of students. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more important than ever to stay on top of things. I aim to do so by presenting offerings that satisfy students’ needs while also sticking to the guidelines set by the government. After all, we still want to help students move forward. To accomplish this, I display the resources that SCOPE provides to help them do so.
Finally, I am here to have a fun time and to have a positive long-term impact on this association. I have faith that my fellow board members and I will make this a great year.
