My name is Lukas Vanhoutte, I am 20 years old and I am proud to be the next commissioner External Relations International of SCOPE - Maastricht.
I am originally from the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium but grew up in a small village in the French Alpes. I left my mountains to go to an international school in the Provence (Manosque) where I graduated with an Abibac. Being attracted by international environments, I decided to come to Maastricht and am now done with my second year International Business.
Besides University, I like to always stay occupied by combining work, meeting with friends and meeting new people but also other projects that inspire me.
I joined SCOPE as an active in September 2018 and became part of the Ski Trip committee. Along the year I developed myself in so many ways, which sparked my interest of going one step further and doing a board year. I am now happy to have the chance of providing concrete chances to the students, by maintaining, improving and diversifying the relationships SCOPE has with its partners. I aim to stay in line with the work of the previous Externals while using my background to bring in new leads for the benefit of the association and the entire student population. I am confident that this board, pillar coordinators and active members will succeed at developing SCOPE while developing themselves. I believe that our hard work will benefit all SBE students, from a career, academic or social perspective.
