My name is Sami Bounouar and I am delighted to announce that I am the Secretary and Internal Activities Commissioner of this academic year 2020-2021.
I am from Liège (Luik) in Belgium close to the border of the Netherlands and Germany. I come from a multicultural family as my mom is Belgian and my dad is Moroccan. I am currently a second-year international business student and I am planning on doing a major in either Finance or in Marketing.
I joined Scope at the beginning of this year (2019) in the committee called CRM R&D. Our goal was to find an appropriate CRM system for Scope Maastricht. Following the success of this committee, I changed and got accepted in the internal social committee. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus crisis, we could not engage in meaningful activities with Scope’s active members. However, it is only when I stopped being in Maastricht with all the active members of the association that I realised how much value they added in my life. What I want for this association is to enhance Scope’s value for every student of the School of business and economics and to create the best atmosphere possible for the new students that will enter SBE.
I do not doubt a second that with the new board and the new pillar coordinators we can lead this association to great successes, and I am looking forward to working with all of them next year. I believe that our predecessors did a very good job during the crisis and I will try my best to perform at the very high standard they set.
