SCOPE is a Study Association at the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University. In order to meet the interests of all students of the SBE, former study associations SCOPE | Focus, SCOPE | 3MA and SCOPE | Economics became part of SCOPE Maastricht (in short: SCOPE). The association now encompasses three main pillars that cover the core interests of the old study associations: Marketing and Management, Economics and Finance and General. SCOPE represents an impressive number of more than 4000 members - bachelor as well as master students and is therefore the biggest Study Association in Maastricht.
SCOPE's purpose is to support the international student population in the best way possible and aims to fulfill their interests at hand. We try to realize these goals by working intensively and closely with the university and affiliated firms/organizations.
Similar to student life, SCOPE seeks a balance between academic as well as social activities. Summaries, Exam trainings, extra tutorials and skills trainings offer our members further educational preparation and development. Company visits and extra skill trainings offer you real life insights and create a valuable link between your theoretical curriculum and the practical corporate life. Parties and the Foreign trip get you socially involved and thus make your personal Maastricht experience supporting, fun and enriching. SCOPE is a non-profit organization and is closely linked with the faculty. Furthermore, all activities are organized by students. If you would like to be part of the team, you can apply for open committee positions. Find an overview here.
Sigma Investments was the daughter association of SCOPE | FOCUS, one of the predecessors of the current SCOPE Maastricht association. It offers students the opportunity to manage an investment portfolio. More information about Sigma can be found here.
