Please note that the university’s rule of a maximum of three absences per course also applies when joining this trip. Unfortunately, the chances of receiving an exception are small, despite repeated requests from SCOPE to the university.

In practice, students who join SCOPE trips usually do not experience major issues with attendance. However, participation in the trip will count toward your total number of allowed absences. This means you may have fewer remaining absences available for other commitments during the course period.

Tutors may vary in how strictly they record absences, so we advise you to inform them in advance about your participation in the trip.
