"Building the Bridge between University and Your Future Career"
On November 4th our first edition of the rebranded symposium took place!
During this extraordinary event which had an entirely new and unique format, students had the chance to interact with the following companies: Google, Aucta, PwC Luxembourg, von Buddenbrock, SumUp and The Center for Enterpreneuship.
Before Covid regulations were changed by the Dutch government the event was supposed to happen in the Crown Plaza in Maastricht. Thanks to the fast adapting commitee, the symposium moved to a virtual setting and was still a big success!
SCOPE tried out the online platform Hopin for the first time and companies and participants were quiet happy with this virtual tool. At a Hopin event, you can can network one-on-one, break out into group sessions, watch keynote presentations, send chat messages and polls, and explore interactive expo areas.
During the event, students had the chance to combine academic debates with career-related opportunities, while connecting and engaging with companies during a variety of workshops. Themes for the workshops included insights into specific industries such as consulting and finance, job interview preparation, case study training, and personal development. During our panel discussions, students listened into expert knowledge from company representatives and scholars to discuss relevant issues related to the future of our economy, workplaces, and careers.
A big thank you goes to our commitee members Elma, Max, Florian and Claudia for making this event a successfull one! We also want to thank our academic trips coordinator Daria and our academic activities commissioner Blair. You guys did a great job!
