Ana Whittembury - Academic and IT Commissioner

Hi everyone!

My name is Ana Sofia Whittembury, and I am this year’s Academic and IT Co-Commissioner for the academic year 2025-26. I am 21 years old and come from Peru. I recently started my second year in the BSc Business Analytics at the School of Business and Economics (SBE). 

Before my current position at SCOPE Maastricht, I joined the Database committee and served as chairperson of the IT committee during my first year of studies. Being an active member fit well with my student life, and contributing to the community was very fulfilling. I am eager to work with my fellow board members and the SCOPE community to deliver on our expectations for this year!

As the Academic Co-Commissioner, my primary focus will be on ensuring that this year’s academic events cater to the students and provide them with greater access to both soft and hard skills development. I am managing the Academic Lectures and Workshops (Academic Series), Business Analytics, International Financial Orientation (IFO), International Economic Orientation (IEO), and Paris Trip committees.

Additionally, I aim to continue integrating IT tools into our current data structures, improve efficiency, and develop intuitive systems for the organization. My objective lies in exploring the information available to provide greater value to everyone in SCOPE through more well-informed and structured approaches to drive SCOPE forward.

I am excited about the challenges and opportunities lying ahead for me and look forward to sharing these with our members, active and passive, university, partners, and everyone joining us for the ride this year!
