Benedikt Beumer – Vice President and Career Commissioner

SCOPE is a community in which everyone can contribute, grow, and find friends for a lifetime – at least that’s what it is to me.  

Hi everyone! 

My name is Benedikt Beumer, and I will serve as the Vice-President and Career Commissioner of the SCOPE Board 2026-2027. I am 23 years old, born and raised in a small city called Beckum in Germany, and I just finished the second year of my bachelor’s degree in International Business. Before coming to Maastricht, I completed an apprenticeship in a regional bank close to my hometown (hence the age J). 

To me, SCOPE is a platform that combines personal and professional growth with the comfort of a family. When I was part of the MBDA committee 2025, it was undoubtedly the most intense but also rewarding time of my life. At SCOPE, you will go the extra mile and face challenges, but you will never be left alone.  

As the Career Commissioner of 2026-2027, I aim to support everyone in gaining valuable experience, improving their skills, and enjoying the process along the way. Together, we take students all around the globe and connect them to their dream employers. Our trips and events are more than just company visits - they are lifetime experiences and opportunities to build long-lasting connections.  

Above all, I am also a student who aims to gain experience, improve my current abilities, and have fun along the way. Thus, I invite you to let me know your critical thoughts and feedback, as well as suggestions for improvement. I will be grateful for every contribution to making SCOPE and myself a better version than before!
