Katharina Margarita Ortner - Vice-President and External Relations Commissioner

Hello everyone,

My name is Katharina Ortner and I will be serving as the Vice PresidentP & External Relations Commissioner of the 2024-25 Board of SCOPE Maastricht. I am 21 years old and half Austrian, half Bulgarian, but have grown up in Austria, Greece, and Germany.

Before becoming a member of the board, I was finishing my 2nd year of my Bachelor in EBE, specializing in Economics.

I joined SCOPE as a passive member during the Intro Days of my first year of university, but didn’t become an active member until a year after. During the 2023-24 academic year, I served as the External Relations Officer on the International Economic Orientation Committee, which organizes a 10-day study trip to an international economic hub. Our edition went to New Delhi, India, delving into the Indian Business Scene and culture.

During my board year, I will be responsible for the communication and collaboration between SCOPE and all companies in the Consulting, Economics, Finance, Sustainability, and Consumer Goods Industry. Furthermore, I will be supporting the President in decision-making as well as advising her on general organizational development.

The past year I spent as an active member was incredibly enriching, both professionally and personally, having introduced me to many interesting people. I am looking forward to continuing on this trajectory in the upcoming year! Together with my fellow board members, active members, partners, all participating companies, the University, and everyone involved, I am sure we will make this an unforgettable year.
