Makomborero Soko - Secretary & IT Commissioner

Hello, my name is Makomborero Paula Soko, though I go by Mako. I am honored to serve as the Secretary and IT Commissioner for the academic year 2023-2024. I am 22 years old and originally from Zimbabwe. I recently completed my bachelor's degree in Business Analytics at the School of Business and Economics (SBE).

My journey with SCOPE Maastricht began in my second year at Maastricht University when I took on a role with the Maastricht Business Days Spring Edition. From the moment I joined, I felt embraced by the SCOPE community, and this sense of belonging inspired me to become a full-time board member.

This academic year, I will focus on streamlining our internal processes to ensure smoother operations across the board. One of my key goals is to develop comprehensive templates and guidelines that will simplify our work and maintain consistency in our activities. By establishing these frameworks, I hope to create a more efficient and organized environment that benefits both current and future board members.

In addition to process improvement, I am particularly excited to enhance our IT systems through the implementation of advanced automation tools. By leveraging these technologies, I aim to reduce manual tasks, improve data accuracy, and create more time for strategic initiatives that will drive SCOPE forward. I believe that by integrating these innovations, we can elevate the overall functionality of our organization and provide even greater value to our members.

I am eager to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities that this role presents, and I am committed to making a lasting positive impact on SCOPE Maastricht. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members and the entire SCOPE community as we work together to achieve our shared goals.
