Olga Dombrowska – Academic Commissioner

Hi everyone!
My name is Olga Dombrowska, and I am delighted to take on the role of Academic Commissioner of SCOPE for the 2026–2027 academic year. I am 21 years old, come from Poland, and I recently completed my Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Economics with a specialization in International Business Economics.
My SCOPE journey started in 2024, when I joined the International Economic Orientation (IEO) committee as an Operations Manager. The experience was definitely challenging at times. However, seeing everything come together during the trip made all the hard work completely worth it. Later on, I joined the Internal Committee, where I got to experience a different side of the organization. Both experiences taught me a lot, but most importantly, they showed me that the people you meet and the experiences you create along the way are what make being part of SCOPE so special. They are also what inspired me to take the next step and become a board member.
As Academic Commissioner, I want to focus on making our academic activities something students genuinely look forward to and can take something from. University is not only about what we learn in the classroom, but also about developing the skills, confidence, and experiences that will stay with us afterwards. Therefore, I hope to make SCOPE a place where you can gain valuable knowledge, meet new people, step outside your comfort zone, and create memories along the way — just like I have had the opportunity to do.
If you ever have a question, idea, or simply want to grab a coffee together, feel free to reach out at academic@scope-maastricht.nl!
Kisses,
Olga
