Stan Nedkov - Secretary, IT, Development & Marketing Commissioner

Hi everyone!

My name is Stan Nedkov, and I will serve as Secretary and Commissioner of IT, Marketing & Development on the SCOPE Board 2026-2027. I'm 24 years old and completing my MSc in Digital Business and Economics at Maastricht University. Before this, I built a track record in sales, business development, and commercial strategy — closing enterprise deals, managing partner relationships, and working directly with leadership on complex accounts across several companies, most recently a software scale-up. It's a background that leans more corporate than most people bring to a board year, and it's exactly why I approach this role the way I do: with an emphasis on structure, ownership, and measurable outcomes.

This position combines four distinct responsibilities: IT infrastructure, marketing strategy, partnerships, and digital development, and taking it on meant postponing my graduation by a year. Four responsibilities, one calendar, zero regrets (ask me again in June). At some point I stopped being a board member and started being a small department. That trade-off reflects how I operate: I'd rather commit fully to something worth building properly than split my attention across easier options.

To me, SCOPE is where you're given real ownership before you feel entirely ready for it, and where that ownership is expected to translate into results. As Commissioner of IT, Marketing & Development, my priorities this year are building systems and infrastructure that scale with the organisation, expanding our partnership network with organisations that add real value for members, and extending SCOPE's visibility well beyond the students who already know we exist.

Outside the board room, I'm usually training for my next 10k, testing the patience of German-speaking friends, or spending more time than is strictly reasonable perfecting a single social media post.
