Dispatcher

As our Dispatcher, you will be the responsible one for the communication and planning for our drivers, acting as the main point of contact between drivers and other parts involved.

 

You will:

• Manage direct line communication with the drivers;
• Plan drivers’ schedule and holidays;
• Act as a direct line between drivers and any other involved department/partner in order to solve any issue in a timely manner;
• Reports to the fleet manager all vehicle malfunctions;
• Schedules and optimizes routes, ensuring they are organized in the best conditions;
• Receives and confirms transport orders;
• Check weekly forecast of trips per truck and confirm submit to the headquarter the weekly schedule of each driver and his assigned truck;
• Registers the trips scheduled for the next day to the board computers;
• Checks daily the workload and operations to see if trips are conducted as planned;
• Monitor the truck’s waiting time, delays or messages;
• Discuss with the Logistics department about any messages or issues related to the warehouse, depots, technical issues, delays, etc., in order to answer and solve them adequately and inform drivers by adjusting the system;
• Fill in gaps in the planning by adding activities such as container trucking, washing trailers, repairing and maintenance.

We Ask:

• Good knowledge of Transport Law
• Advanced in English (verbal and written);
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role is considered an advantage;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Experienced in working with MS Office.
