About PwC Luxembourg
About
PwC Luxembourg (www.pwc.com/lu) has about 3000 professionals from 65 different countries. PwC (www.pwc.com) provides industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services to build public trust and enhance value for our clients and their stakeholders. More than 163,000 people in 154 countries across our network share their thinking, experience and solutions to develop fresh perspectives and practical advice.
Our level of expertise is enriched by the interactions we have with our worldwide network. Our industries are organised not only locally but on a European and global level like those of our clients. This allows us to build strong relationships, training courses as well as conduct research and develop our services globally.
Audit
Auditors ensure that their clients’ annual accounts truly and fairly reflect the companies’ financial position. To guide them to this end, auditors must understand the risks inherent to their clients’ business as well as organisations and information systems. Audit assignments usually take place over a short period of time and involve multiple audit teams. This gives auditors the opportunity to work for a large diversity of clients. Knowing how to adapt to changing situations is essential!
PwC is the largest audit firm in Luxembourg and relies on about 850 partners and staff who are specialised in the financial, industrial, commercial and public sectors.
Tax
Tax advisors are called upon to help their clients optimise their tax positions. Advisors need knowledge and experience in corporate taxation, personal taxation and value added tax in order to provide local and international clients alike with tailored advice. We have the largest number of international tax professionals serving top-tier international clients in Luxembourg; that is more than 350 people!
In addition, Luxembourg accounting and tax experts handle all their clients’ accounting books and tax duties. This must therefore gain thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment of their clients’ industry in order to provide them with first-class assistance!
Advisory
Advisors help their clients face challenges relating to growth management, performance improvement and risk management in the broad sense of the word. Advisors contribute in their specific technical expertise in areas such as human resources, change management or information systems, to name but a few. To be an advisor, you need to have a good mix of on-the-job experience, in-depth technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
With more than 200 advisors, we are the leading consulting firm in the area of performance improvement and assessment in Luxembourg.
Recruitment Process
To help you understand our recruitment process, we have summarised the main procedures in our “Career” page of our www.pwc.com/lu website. There, you will find all the necessary information to apply for an interview or in-house days (EEE event). After applying, you will be invited for several interviews with both experts from the relevant department and Human Resources recruiters. We are convinced that job interviews are an opportunity to exchange ideas and information. It is also an opportunity for you to further discover your future workplace. In order to keep our applicants from having to make several journeys, PwC Luxembourg is willing to schedule the interviews in one single day.
Most university graduates are joining our firm in January and September, after having completed their bachelor or master degree.
Besides full time positions for graduates we also offer internships for a minimum duration of 3 months, which generally start in September or January. Although an internship is considered added value, it is not a prerequisite to have done an internship to start a career in Audit, Tax or Advisory.
